Title: School of Arts and Sciences Students recognized by Grenadian Government

ECO members and faculty from the School of Arts and Sciences with Grenada's Minister of Environment.
Hard work and a commitment to the environment do pay off! On Wednesday January 30, SGU’s Education, Conservation, Outreach (ECO) organization received an award from the Minister of Environment, Honorable George Prime as part of the Ministry’s community environment projects initiative.

In 2012 the student led environmental organization participated in several projects for World Environment and World Oceans Day, and coordinated the 11th Caribbean Endemic Bird Festival in collaboration with the Grenada Fund for Conservation and Forestry Department.

With a mandate to generate environmental awareness, the Minister encouraged the students and other award recipients to be the catalyst of change and a voice for the environment.

Congratulations are extended to the students as they continue to make an indelible mark in the Grenadian Community.
