On Friday March 22, six fifth term students, eleven sixth term students and one faculty member within the School of Veterinary Medicine (SGUSVM), were officially honored and inducted into SGU Alpha Delta Chapter of the Society of Phi Zeta – a Veterinary Medical Honors Society.
This year’s fifth term inductees were: Patricia Curella, Katherine Hazzard, Daniel Jackson, Elsa Kanner, Madison Montgomery, and Carolyn Nye.

Representing sixth term was: Anna Bernstein, Laura Goodman, Krystin Jacobson, Kevin Johnson, Lorenza Malaguti, Roslyn Reavis, Roseanne Labi, Danielle Stokes, Sara Twerdok, Katherine B. Woodard, and Shirley Yang. Dr. Hugh Ferguson, Director of the Pathobiology Academic Program was also honored and inducted into the Alpha Delta Chapter of the Society of Phi Zeta.
Each of these inductees demonstrated good moral character and possessed high ideals regarding professional service. The fifth term students ranked scholastically in the highest 10% of their veterinary medical class, and the sixth termers ranked scholastically in the highest 25% of their class.
St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine is the first foreign veterinary school to be selected to be the home of a Phi Zeta Chapter, and has continually demonstrated its commitment to the advancement of the veterinary profession and the recognition and promotion of scholarship and research in matters pertaining to the welfare and treatment of animals.
