Dr. Troy Brick
is the newest addition to the faculty at St. George’s University. He joined SGU in October 2011 as an Associate Professor of Large Animal Medicine and Surgery (LAMS).
Dr. Brick graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, USA where he majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry, then moved on to obtain his Master’s degree in Veterinary Clinical Sciences from Ohio State University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University.

After obtaining his DVM, Dr. Brick joined a mixed animal practice in northwest Iowa. After one year as an associate, he was offered and accepted a partnership in the practice, which consisted of five doctors (three partners and two associates) and two clinics.
As Associate Professor of LAMS, Dr. Brick’s primary responsibility is to teach food animal medicine and surgery in both lecture and laboratory settings. His background and experience will help him teach aspiring veterinarians what to expect when they get to their 4
th
year clinical rotations and prepare them for life as veterinary practitioners.
Dr. Brick is married and has two children. He enjoys golf and scuba diving and looks forward to taking up both of these activities in Grenada. We heartily welcome him to St. George’s University.
