Short Story
Employee of the Year: Dari Twum-Barimah
Eleven St. George’s University staff members were recognised for excellence in service during the year 2010. These persons were presented with Employee of the Month awards by the Business Administrator and Human Resource Manager at three small ceremonies held at the Business Office in April, November and December, as well as at the 2010 Annual Cocktail and Dance held Saturday December 11.
As respective supervisors congratulated and thanked the awardees and expounded on the qualities which had landed them the award, it was evident that these persons were assets to the University. Among their fine qualities were professionalism and good work ethic, meticulousness, flexibility, versatility, dedication, initiative, dependability, respectfulness and willingness to ‘go the extra mile’.
Business Administrator, Ms. Dawne Buckmire, congratulated the awardees on their accomplishment. “The University is very grateful for the hard work you have put in. We are happy to have all of you on the team.” Human Resource Manager, Mr. Bernard Antoine, added his congratulations and encouragement. He told them: “You have been selected for this award from over 600 employees. You have been nominated and recognised by the people you work with everyday and this is significant.”
